28" (71 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque
shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades,very full
lower face,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,brush stroked and
feathered brows,rounded nose with shaded nostrils,closed mouth
with tiny stuck-out tongue,accented lips,dimpled chin,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid bebe body with
kid-over-wooden upper arms,bisque forearms and hands,gusset-
jointing at hips and knees,wearing lovely antique fine white
cotton dress with scalloped and cutwork edging,aqua silk
sash,undergarments,leather shoes with silk rosettes signed
C.M.,fancy bonnet with aqua silk rosette and silk flowers.
Condition: generally excellent,a nickel-sized bisque piece missing
on back shoulder plate (under kid),bisque paint-skip on back
shoulder plate,some body patching but overall very sturdy,perfect
bisque head,arms and hands. Marks: 10 (head) Depose No.10 Bru Jne
(shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,from the classic
era,circa 1884. Value Points: very beautiful Bebe Bru with
perfectly achieved "the face",enhanced by superb bisque and
painting,fine large size,perfect hands.
