40" (102 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump round face,large
blue glass paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,brush-stroked brows with feathering detail,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with gentle smile on the
accented lips,brunette human hair hand-tied wig in ringlet
curls,French composition fully-jointed body,beautiful antique
white pique dress,undergarments,stockings,shoes. Condition: small
chips at inner corner of each eye,light cheek rub,body is French
albeit not original to this model. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG
Bourgouin (red ink lettering) Sie A 8 (incised). Comments: Jules
Steiner,circa 1880. Value Points: gorgeous face and eyes on the
very rare grand-sized bebe with lovely costume.
