23" (58 cm.) seated. 30" doll and stool. Felt swivel head with
pressed and painted facial features depicting a slender
fashionable 1920's woman with angular features and smiling
expression,brown side-glancing eyes,side-painted lashes,grey
eyeshadow,fringed brows,accented nostrils,blushed cheeks,closed
mouth with smiling expression and hole in lips for placement of
cigarette which is included,brunette mohair bobbed wig with side
part,shapely torso,elongated limbs with bent elbows,crossed
knees,feet positioned for high heels,jointing at hips and
shoulders. Condition: generally excellent,few tiny moth holes in
dress. Comments: Lenci,the blonde-haired version of the doll first
appeared in the Lenci catalogs in mid-1920s,identified as model
556 with the name "Mimy"; collectors often refer to the doll as
Marlene Dietrich. Value Points: extremely rare doll is in
wonderful state of preservation,wearing her original green felt
flapper style dress with ruffle tiered skirt,matching neck
ribbon,yellow sleeve ribbon,pearls,original wonderful ruffled
bloomers designed to peek from beneath her dress when
seated,stockings,heeled shoes,earrings,and is posed seated upon
her original yellow wooden stool. Included is her original Lenci
box with original 556 label.
