Description
10 1/2" (27 cm.) and 2". Bisque socket head with solid dome, modeled topknot and side curls, large round brown glass side-glancing googly eyes, tiny one-stroke brows, fringed lashes, closed mouth with wide grin, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips, starfish-shaped hands. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish albeit worn especially at finger tips. Marks: Copyright O'Neill JDK Germany 10 (head) O'Neill (stamp on foot). Comments: Kestner, from original design by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912. Value Points: rare model in endearing smallest size, with unique original body; included are two small Kewpies in seated pose, one clasping a rose and the other reading a book.
