Description
10" (25 cm.) h. overall. Seated upon a flannel-covered paper mache
horse with painted spots,amber glass eyes,flannel saddle
blanket,is a bisque-head doll depicting George Washington,painted
facial features,deep blue eyes,closed mouth,white mohair
wig,wooden block torso,hands and black boots,and wearing original
flannel costume with tri-corn hat. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Germany,circa 1890. Value Points: rare candy container
made for the American market; the horse's head removes for access
to the candy container interior.
