Description
11" (28 cm.) A bisque head is peeking from the hinged lid of a
silk petal-covered paper mache cabbage flower contained in a
wicker basket,the doll has blue glass eyes,mohair lashes,open
mouth,blonde mohair wig,and having two bisque hands posed in front
of her mouth. When wound,music plays and she emerges further from
the cabbage flower,turning her head side to side and seems to
munch upon the tasty turnip she is holding in her hands.
Condition: generally excellent,mechanism and music function well.
Comments: Roullet & Decamps,circa 1910. Value Points: the charming
automaton is well-preserved,decorative and amusing.
