Description
10" (25 cm.) One-piece bisque vignette depicts two children sitting
astride their pet donkey whose iron shoe has become loose and is
being repaired by the local blacksmith. Details of the realistic
scene include the girl's apprehensive expression as she clings to
her brother,the donkey's patient pose,as well as fine details of
costuming and accents including blacksmith tools. Excellent
condition. Germany,circa 1900,attributed to Gebruder Heubach.
