Description
16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden shoulder head which extends to mid-
upper torso,carved brown hair in long flowing locks that are
rolled at the shoulders,sculpted ears,inset brown eyes in well-
defined sockets,closed mouth,defined ears,twine-wrapped muslin
body,carved wooden lower limbs,fingers of right hand
curled,defined toes,frail original cotton and silk costume.
Condition: very good,original finish. Comments: Southern
Germany,late 18th century. Value Points: very expressive features
achieved by fine sculpting,original blushed finish,unusual plump
body and limbs.
