Description
18" (46 cm.) Felt swivel head with very plump cheeks and
chin,pressed and painted facial features,brown side-glancing
eyes,curly upper lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth with pouting expression,accent dots on bottom lip,blonde
mohair wig in center part,jointing at shoulders and hips.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Lenci,from the 1500
series,circa 1926. Value Points: wonderful crisp colors of the
imaginative design,the little girl wears a vibrant dress with
applique stripes,yellow felt bonnet,undergarments,stockings,black
felt shoes,and carries a wooden-handled parasol and a mohair duck
with felt beak and feet that are captured in a woven net.
