18" (46 cm.) Earthenware head with flanged neck,narrow blue glass "flirty" eyes,painted curly lashes,ochre eye shadow,feathered arched brows,accented nostrils,slightly-open mouth with extended center lip line ending in dimples at the inside corner of each cheek,two porcelain upper teeth,blonde mohair bobbed wig,original firmly-stuffed muslin body with arms modeled bent at the elbows,hip-jointed legs,wearing factory-original cotton print dress and matching bandana. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: copr. by J.J Orsini Germany. Comments: designed by the American artist,Jeanne Orsini,circa 1935,who is more known for her series of unusual all-bisque children including Mimi and Vivi. Value Points: wonderful expression,unusual lip painting and sculpting,on the rarely found doll.
