Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with very plump rounded face and
delicate bisque,painted blue eyes in deeply-defined eye
sockets,heavily-lidded shaded blue eyes with upper glancing pupils
and pronounced black upper eyeliner,painted lashes,arched
feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with accented lips,un-pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork
pate,stretched-kid over wooden poupee body with shapely
torso,gusset-jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,bisque arms to
above the elbows,curled bisque hands. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Adelaide Huret,circa 1858. Value Points:
desirable early period Huret with superb detail of facial modeling
including defined eye sockets,and very full cheeks and chin,finest
bisque and painting,wearing original pique gown with soutache
embroidery,undergarments,leather boots and woven hat.
