Description
17" (43 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial
features,very chubby face especially of cheeks and chin,narrow
blue side-glancing eyes,painted upper lashes,rose eye
shadow,fringed brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with bow-
shaped pursed lips,blonde mohair wig in center part with soft
arranged curls,felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (on both feet) Lenci
(cloth tag on train) Lenci (paper label on flowers). Comments:
Lenci,from the 1500 series,circa 1932. Value Points: very rare and
wonderfully-preserved model featuring a fretful-faced bride
wearing original very elaborate wedding gown that is lavishly
covered overall with tiered self-ruffles and includes an extended
train,organdy pink ruffled underslip,socks,felt shoes,felt flowers
forming a coronet in her hair and bouquets of flowers in each
hand.
