Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with creamy complexion,large brown
glass paperweight inset eyes,lushly-painted lashes,brush-stroked
brows,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 5 (and un-tinted square at back of head).
Comments: Emile Jumeau,the bebe was commissioned by Paris
department store whose label would have originally appeared in the
un-tinted square,circa 1890. Value Points: pretty petite bebe
wears ivory silk and lace dress and bonnet which may be
original,matching bonnet,undergarments,leather shoes,socks.
