34" (86 cm.) Paper mache mask face with deeply impressed angular features and wrinkles,sienna complexion and painted features,right side-glancing eyes,narrow brown brows,closed mouth,firmly-set lips,black mohair wig,padded torso and attached costume designed to appear as though arms are folded beneath,separate legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Mary McAboy,from her patented series of Native American dolls,circa 1925. Value Points: the woman wears red cotton dress beneath the patterned flannel blanket,and has yellow leggings with bead trim,black socks,brown suede moccasins,and an elaborate bone and bead necklace with conch shell medallion.
