Bisque socket head depicting adult lady with oval-shaped face, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, incised upper eyeliner, brushstroked brows with some modeling detail, shaded nostrils, closed mouth in smiling expression, row of sculpted teeth, impressed dimples at lip corners, cheeks and center of bottom lip, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1388 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 12. Comments: Simon & Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: outstanding quality of sculpting, bisque, complexion and painting of features on the very rare largest size of the 1388, enhanced by distinctively sculpted dimples at lip corners, cheeks and eye corners to enhance the flirtatious yet sophisticated look, beautiful antique costume.
