31" (79 cm.) Paper mache mask face with deeply impressed angular
features and age wrinkles,sienna complexion and painted
features,right side-glancing eyes,grey painted brows,closed
mouth,firmly-set lips,black mohair braids,padded torso and
attached costume designed to appear as though arms are folded
beneath,separate legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Mary McAboy,from her patented series of Native American
dolls,circa 1925. Value Points: rare seated pose,original finish
on the well-sculpted features,original costume includes patterned
cotton dress,wrapped patterned flannel blanket,brown suede fringed
moccasins,shell and beaded necklace.
