12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head turned to the side, sculpted very dark-brown flowing curls brushed on to his shoulders and accented with a topknot, blue hair band, tiny enamel eyes, aquiline nose, closed mouth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and orange boots with elaborate gilt trim and blue inserts, antique silk costume. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare hair color and style, rare luxurious painting of boots.
