18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,square-
shaped face with defined chin,dark-amber brown glass inset
eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly-feathered
brows,closed mouth with defined space between the pale outlined
lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair bobbed wig,early composition and
wooden body with attached ball-joints,straight wrists,antique
costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12. Comments:
Sonneberg,circa 1885,mystery maker. Value Points: very fine
sculpting of the early doll enhanced by very rich painting of
features especially mouth,original body and body finish.
