13" (33 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight
inset eyes with spiral threading,thick dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
downcast pouting lips,brunette mohair wig,Sonneberg composition
and wooden jointed body with attached ball-joints. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: 6 (head) (illegible stamp on back
torso along with stamped initials B.J.). Comments: maker
unknown,Germany,circa 1880. Value Points: especially beautiful
doll with very pale bisque,expressive downcast lips,antique
mariner costume.
