Description
20" (51 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial
features,very full cheeks and chin,brown eyes with pronounced
irises and two white eyedots,curly upper lashes,grey eye
shadow,fringed brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented
bottom lip,blonde mohair wig captured under a fitted green cap
with lace ruffle and with little dainty ringlet curls at the sides
of her face and nape,jointed arms and legs. Condition:
structurally excellent and complete,albeit overall dusty and
darkened,missing original birdcage as shown in Lenci catalog.
Comments: Lenci,model 252,presented as "Marie Teresa" in the 1928
Lenci catalog,a partner to model 253 which was Mozart. Value
Points: very rare doll with unique expression and coiffure,wearing
her original green felt gown trimmed with organdy ruffled sleeves
and felt flowers,matching cap,undergarments,green felt slippers.
