Description
18" (46 cm.) Each has carved wood base with sculpted wax
head,portraying a society lady and a handsome gentleman of the
1920s,each with blue glass enamel eyes and painted features,the
woman with defined bosom and light brown wig under fashionable
bonnet,posed on self plinth; and the man with blonde inserted hair
in handsome wind-blown style,and with head resting upon a
protruding dowel from the heavily weighted bust which allows the
head to swivel,with defined lapels,shirt and bow ties,and which
allows the head to swivel. With maker's mark and silk bow tie.
Very good/excellent condition overall. French,early 20th century.
