Description
9" (23 cm.) Mounted on wooden circular bases are paper mache Brownie
figures with classic highly-characterized painted features including
googly eyes,each with long spindly legs as depicted in original
drawings,and having original painted faces and costumes. Their heads
remove for use as candy containers. Fair/good condition,some repairs
to legs,finish rubbed. Germany,circa 1895,based on the illustrations
of Palmer Cox for his Brownie stories.
