8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket,blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,single-stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,blonde mohair wig,original composition body with shapely torso having protruding dowel at throat for attachment to head,jointed one-piece arms and legs with large loose-ball-joints at hips,painted shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 0. Comments: Sonneberg,circa 1882,the model closely resembles early Jumeau bebes whose market it sought to capture. Value Points: rare size 0,beautiful face and eyes,rare body with original finish.
