71" (180 cm.) Paper mache head with deeply impressed angular
features and wrinkles,sienna complexion and painted features,right
side-glancing eyes,thickly modeled black brows,closed mouth with
firmly-set lips,black mohair wig,padded torso and attached costume
designed to appear as though arms are folded beneath,separate
legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: likely an
exhibition model from the workshops of Mary McAboy,from her
patented series of Native American dolls,circa 1925. Value Points:
extremely rare life-size model,having fine original finish on the
well-sculpted features,original costume includes classic patterned
flannel blanket,suede fringed pants,leather moccasins,shell
necklace and elaborate feathered headdress with beaded headband.
