18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lush lashes,rose-blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with shaded and accented lips,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent,small
chip on inside crown rim. Marks: (white space at back of head) 7.
Comments: Emile Jumeau,Bebe Reclame,circa 1892,the doll was
commissioned by a Paris department store such as Samaritaine whose
paper label would have been affixed to a white space at back of
head. Value Points: an especially beautiful bebe with fine creamy
bisque that contrasts the richly decorated eyes,fine original
wig,original body and body finish.
