Bisque socket head with very full cheeks and chin,brown glass paperweight inset eyes with heavily-modeled eyelids,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the outlined pale lips,separately-modeled pierced ears,original blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,plump limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,from the commissioned sculpture by Carrier-Belleuse,the model known as Bebe Triste in reference to her wistful expression.
