18" (46 cm.) (excluding hat). Posed upon a red velvet covered base
is a dancer posed en pointe on right leg,her left leg
extended,arms held in front with a garland of flowers; the dancer
has a bisque head with blue glass paperweight inset eyes,lushly-
painted lashes,feathered brows,closed mouth with accented
lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,on bisque
shoulder plate with carton torso,wire upper arms,bisque forearms.
Condition: generally excellent,music and motion function well.
Marks: (Jumeau artist checkmarks on head). Comments: Roullet et
Decamps,the model appeared in the firm's original catalog as
#11,named "Valseuse",circa 1890. Value Points: wearing original
rose silk costume with matching slippers and bonnet,the dancer
twirls around when wound,leaning her upper torso to and fro,and
lifting her left leg up and down,while music plays.
