Description
13" x 10" box. Including a presentation box "Die Fleissige
Puppenschneiderin" with lithographed design of children sewing
costumes for their dolls,opening to fitted interior with a small
box having a similar design on the lid,and various laces and trim;
along with a toy metal sewing machine with stenciled designs,along
with a matching book with another scene of children sewing for
their dolls,and containing patterns for doll costumes (two of the
costumes are included),and with a small bisque head doll in
original folklore costume posed on pincushion base,and with a
heavy cast metal silvered shoe as pincushion. Very good condition
overall,some repairs to box. Germany,circa 1890.
