Description
16"w. closed (40 cm.) A wooden framed room with hinged walls opens
to reveal a well-fitted and busy laundry room; posed at the back
are three bisque head dolls with glass eyes and mohair
wigs,standing behind a wooden work table,with laundry tools in
their hands. When wound,the dolls busily move their right arms,as
though scrubbing the linens in front of them. The setting has
additional work tables and shelves fitted with various tubs and
tools,and there is a drying shed on the roof with laundry racks.
Excellent condition,mechanism functions well. French,circa 1890.
