17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked
brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with
outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris A 9 (incised on head) "Le
Parisien" (red stamp on head). Bebe "Le Parisien" Medaille d'Or
Paris (torso). Comments: Jules Steiner,circa 1888. Value Points:
pretty bebe has original signed body with original finish,wearing
antique costume with mohair plush cap and muff and leather shoes
impressed "9 Bebe Le Parisien". Included is antique French domed
trunk with three additional silk or velvet dresses with
bonnets,and three additional cotton dresses,and undergarments.
