17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,very full cheeks,small blue glass inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented eye corners and
nostrils,closed mouth with outlined and accented lips,pierced
ears,auburn mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with
gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated
fingers,wearing lovely antique silk costume,undergarments,ankle
boots,and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4.
Comments: French,circa 1870,maker unknown. Value Points: an
especially appealing gentle expression enhanced by fine quality of
bisque and painting,sturdy original body.
