15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,grey glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,arched feathered brows,accented nostrils,refined aquiline- shaped nose,closed mouth with upturned lip corners in enigmatic smiling expression,shaded and outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,kid poupee body with Bru square cut collarette,gusset-jointed hips,knees and elbows,stitched and separated fingers,antique brown silk costume with fringe edging,bonnet,undergarments,leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E (head and shoulder). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,the distinctive model was deposed in 1872,possibly inspired by the beloved Empress Eugenie of France.
