Description
16" (41 cm.) All-carved wooden doll, socket head, intaglio blue eyes with pronounced large black pupils and white eyedots, black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, closed mouth, short up-tilted nose, blonde mohair tacked-on wig, wooden spring-jointed body with articulation at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan 17th 1911 USA. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1915. Value Points: fine original painted finish is beautifully preserved, original costume includes knit teddy, Schoenhut shoes and stockings, undergarments and dress, and with added wool flannel governess cape and cap, and holding celluloid baby in gown.
