Description
15" (38 cm.) overall. An 11' bisque-head boy with amber
complexion,narrow brown glass eyes,mohair lashes,open mouth,four
tiny teeth,carton torso and hinged legs,bisque lower arms,is
attached to the handles of a two wheeled wooden cart upon which is
seated another bisque-head doll of matching description. When
wound,the boy walks briskly,pulling the cart along. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: SH 1129 Germany Simon & Halbig.
Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1900. Value Points: especially
fine detail of facial modeling and complexion on the variation of
the popular mechanical cart toy by the noted French firm.
