Description
20" (51 cm.) x 16". Canvas on board frame with rich oil-painted
scene of five children playing with dolls and toys,one child holding
a French flag and pulling a bunny on wheeled base,two children
building sand castles,one young lad admonishing his Polichinelle
doll,and a girl with blue hair ribbon holding her bonneted doll.
Excellent condition,fine detail of costuming and facial expressions.
Signed F.E. Mesples in lower right. French,late 19th century.
