Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with three alternate
faces,including dolly face with blue glass eyes,closed mouth with
smiling expression and impressed dimples,sleeping face with
modeled closed eyelids and crying face with blue glass eyes,closed
mouth as though crying with modeled tears; the faces alternately
revealed by turning a knob at the crown,blonde mohair wig over
cardboard hood,cloth over carton torso,composition limbs,nicely
costumed. Condition: generally excellent,some craquelure on
composition shoulders. Marks: C.B. Comments: Carl Bergner,circa
1890. Value Points: well-modeled details on the amusing three-
faced doll expressing different moods.
