26" (66 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,very full lower cheeks of oval-shaped face,cobalt blue glass
inset eyes,dark eyeliner,delicately-painted lashes,rose blushed
eye shadow,arched feathered brows,ears pierced into head,blonde
mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with gusset-
jointing at hips,knees and elbows,stitched and separated fingers.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: attributed to
Bru,circa 1860,virtually identical models with Bru signature
exist. Value Points: finest delicate complexion with lovely
painting of features enhanced by dramatic cobalt blue
eyes,original wig with paper label "10",beautiful antique gown
with cutwork and embroidery,stockings,leather shoes,and elegant
silk hat with maker's label.
