Description
10" (25 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with black painted
pate,painted facial features,blue eyes,closed mouth,muslin body with
wooden lower limbs,antique woolen costume. The doll is posed astride
a carved wooden horse with cream hide cover,wheeled feet,and having
elaborate leather saddle,bridle and saddle blanket. Condition: very
good. Comments: circa 1860. Value Points: wonderful toy assemblage
with well-crafted leather work.
