full lower cheeks,large blue glass paperweight inset eyes of great
depth,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,mauve blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between
the outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette hand-tied human hair wig
over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed
body,wearing fine antique costume comprising aqua silk dress with
fitted jacket,undergarments,stockings,shoes,wide-brimmed
bonnet,and carrying woven egg-shaped basket with green silk bows
and a carved wooden-handled green silk parasol. Condition: bisque
excellent,French body is correctly sized and of the same era and
style albeit not original. Marks: Sch (in shield) 8. Comments:
Schmitt et Fils,circa 1885. Value Points: striking beauty of the
bebe,her rare size allowing outstanding definition of the sculpted
model,and enhanced by finest bisque and painting,and splendid deep
eyes.
