Description
7 1/2" (19 cm.) l. Pressed tinplate carriage with textured finish
to simulate wicker has painted gold finish with green edging,and
decoupage colorful flowers on each side,with two large spoked
wheels at the back and a small centered wheel at the front,and
with attached hood. A bisque head with blue glass eyes,painted
features,closed mouth,brunette mohair wig,and antique costume
which covers the upper torso and jointed tin arms which are
attached to the hidden mechanism below. When the carriage is
pulled along,the doll waves its arms up and down as though
delighted. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,circa
1880. Value Points: very rare toy has beautifully-preserved finish
enhancing the charming action.
