18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with plumply-modeled
features,very pale complexion,painted blue eyes with darker blue
outlines and black upper-glancing pupils,black eye
liner,delicately-painted lashes,arched feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with daintily-accented
lips,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,wooden poupee body with
swivel waist,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips and
knees,metal hands,antique gown,blouse,undergarments,woven
bonnet,velvet slippers. Condition: generally excellent,Huret body
albeit of later era. Marks: (original Huret stamp on kid at upper
torso). Comments: Adelaide Huret,circa 1860. Value Points:
especially beautiful face with fine definition of eye sculpture
and eye painting enhanced by decorative glaze at bottom rim,Huret
body with original stamp.
