Description
28" (71 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with plump face,black
enamel inset eyes,painted all-around lashes,feathered
brows,pierced nostrils,open mouth with two square cut upper and
two square-cut lower teeth,unusual hair cut ridge around the
forehead edge with inserted wig,very plump kid body with gusset-
jointing at hips,knees and elbows,stitched and separated fingers.
Condition: very good,some typical rubs on complexion,hair a bit
sparse. Comments: French,probably Voit,circa 1840. Value Points:
rare hair system,original finish,sturdy body,and wearing wonderful
original costume and leather cobbled shoes.
