17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with very rounded plump face,grey
glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading,dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,rose-blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and
feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils of tiny tip
nose,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette hand-
tied human hair wig over original pink plaster pate,French
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut
derriere and straight wrists,fine antique costume. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Sch 2 (head and also impressed on
pate) Sch (torso base). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa 1880.
Value Points: especially beautiful bebe with delicate expression
and bisque,original body,body finish,pate,along with a miniature
French toy dachshund with leather muzzle and leash.
