shape,flat-cut neck socket to accommodate torso neck dowel,almond-
shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented lips,blonde
mohair wig over pink plaster pate,French composition and wooden
eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere,straight
wrists,and high neck torso for head attachment,lovely antique
ivory satin dress with embroidered tulle trim,matching ivory satin
bonnet,undergarments,kidskin shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 1 Bte SGDG (head) Sch (in shield (feet).
Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa 1880,their earliest period bebe
with rare neck articulation. Value Points: very beautiful gentle-
faced bebe,rarest of the Schmitt bebe models,with finest bisque
and painting,original body,body finish,and original pate and wig.
