15" (38 cm.) All-wooden doll with oval-shaped head, heart-shaped face, elongated throat, shapely bosom, painted black hair with elaborately swirling tendrils of curls framing her face and topped by a yellow tuck comb with red accent trim, outlined painted blue eyes, curvy one-line brows, defined nose, pierced ears, and little pointy chin, blushed cheeks, tiny closed mouth, dowel-jointing at hips, knees, shoulders and elbows, spatula-shaped hands, painted green flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: beautifully-preserved original painting, superb detail of hair and comb. Included with doll, which is stored in early box, is an elaborate trousseau which comprises eight original dresses, various undergarments and accessories, bonnet, and two embroidered reticules.
