15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,large
blue glass enamel inset eyes,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked
and feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth
with outlined lips,lambswool wig,Sonneberg composition and wooden
fully-jointed body with straight wrists,antique woolen
costume,leather boots,satchel. Condition: generally
excellent,original body finish albeit scuffed. Marks: 9. Comments:
Sonneberg,circa 1882,the model resembles early French bebes of
that era,whose market the Sonneberg makers sought to capture.
