Bisque shoulder head with plumply-modeled cheeks and chin,black sculpted hair in very well defined short curls,and having feathered details around the forehead,painted blue upper glancing eyes in well-defined eye sockets,dark eyeliner,painted all-around lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,fully-sculpted ears,hand- stitched pink kid poupee body with shapely unjointed limbs,stitched and separated fingers,antique black velvet suit,undergarments,shorts,socks,shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Gaultier who presented a small series of the painted eye poupee with all-around painted lashes,circa 1860. Value Points: rare model with superlative sculpting and painting,compelling presence.
