14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender heart-shaped facial modeling,small blue glass sleep eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,brunette mohair wig,composition and wooden very slender lady body in the so-called flapper style. Condition: generally excellent,early retouch of thumbs. Comments: attributed to Simon and Halbig,their 1469 model,circa 1910. Value Points: very beautiful face with gentle expression and of finest quality,rare original body,wonderful antique costume of ivory silk with heavily-crusted beading,extended train,matching ivory silk shoes,and with silver and "diamond" crown.
