Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) h. 8" width. A large porcelain powder box
features a highly-stylized woman with tightly-captured
topknot coiffure and two side curls,dramatic eye-liner and
brows,red bow-shaped lips,her arms outstretched to reach
the edges of her skirt which forms the lid and base of the
box; the costume in midnight black with vibrant floral
decorations and red banding. Excellent condition.
Unmarked,although an identical model with decorative
variation is known to bear the French Robj. markings.
