Description
8" (20 cm.) h. 6"w. Two-piece porcelain powder box depicts
a masked lady with voluminous skirt which separates below
the hips for access to the hollow center,her highly-
stylized modeling and painting designed to depict a
costumed lady at a Venetian costume ball,the costume in
magenta and black with rich gilt accents on jewelry and
fan. Excellent condition except chip on inside skirt rim.
Marked _M.Fres Limoges Made in France" and with partial
original paper label and artist signature _Printernion"
(partly indecipherable). French,circa 1920. From the Vicki
